The National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) has donated two ambulances as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative for the PHC in Tizit and Wakching on 22nd of January 2026. This initiative aims to provide timely emergency medical services for various situations including accidents, critical health conditions, and assisting pregnant women and elderly patients.
The donated ambulances for PHC Wakching and Tizit was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner of Mon, Shri Wennyei Konyak. On behalf of the district administration and the district engineer, he thanked NHIDCL and expressed his belief that they "will be of great help to the patients" in the two subdivisions.
The DC also urged the medical department to make good use of the ambulances and ensure they are primarily utilized for the poor and those in dire need of such services, and that they should not be misused in any other form whatsoever.
